There is no middle ground when you deal with Rubi, the pissed off assassin at the center of Artificial Mind and Movement’s WET, just as there really isn’t likely to be a middle ground of opinions about the game. The developers know it, the game knows it, and there are no apologies made, no attempts to grab a larger audience. The game was made by fans of Grindhouse films, for fans of Grindhouse films. You’ll either love it, or you’ll hate it, but either way, WET is worth a look.
The game...
Video Games: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Review

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is the sequel to the 2006 Ultimate Alliance by Raven Software. Ultimate Alliance 2 was developed by Vicarious Visions, the same developers who were responsible for the PSP and Wii versions of the original. This change, while seemingly minor, turns out to perhaps not have been the best of ideas, considering Vicarious Visions not so glorious track record, in fact running through their history of games, the vast majority of them are ports.
One good thing, of both games...
Games: Mini Ninjas Review

Mini Ninjas is a game that stands out among the dozen of similar titles released a year (by that I mean games aimed at children but with an all-ages appeal) that actually transcends the normal stigma of being aimed at children and is rather good. The game has a Mario and Sonic kind of classic style feel to it, and the game truly is one that would feel right at home next to them, and certainly is better than the current generation of Sonic offerings.
You control Hiro, the youngest of the titul...
Demo Talk: Wet
Demetri: So Jesse, for our first Demo Talk segment you wanted to talk about the Wet demo. Were you ever interested in the game before the demo came out? What caught your attention to it?
Jesse: Actually, I was interested in it before the demo, however the game I was originally interested in isn't the game that is being released. About a year and a half ago, my friend pointed out this game with a really cool female lead character and what looked like some slick, assassin style gameplay. This w...
Video Games: Batman: Arkham Asylum Review
You’ve ripped a vent off a wall, discarding it casually across the room, leaving the unconscious body of your latest victim beneath a set of monitors from which your nemesis cackles at you. Crawling through the vent, you hear his voice mocking you and teasing his own thugs. As you come to the end of this section of the vent, you kick another grate off the wall and come up behind a thug picking up a dead guard’s weapon. After a quick knock out, you fire a grappling hook up to a gargoyle and p...

Pinnacle Station is the final DLC for Mass Effect. It is added onto the Galaxy Map, like any other planet, and permanently tagged. But is this content worth the purchase? Well... No, not really.
The DLC adds a series of Combat Trials to the game on the titular station. The station is run by mostly Turians, with a few Human staff as well. Needless to say, the Turians aren't particularly fond of the humans, and there's a little not-so-friendly competition going on. Enter Vidinos and Bryant, two...
Video Games: Shadow Complex Review
Shadow Complex is the love child of Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in every way, including being not quite as great as either of those two classics. However, the game stands strong against the competition offered pretty much exclusively on the Xbox 360, and stands out amongst all the other Xbox Live Arcade titles. Shadow Complex is quite possibly the best XBLA game to date, and most certainly this year’s Braid.
Shadow Complex takes place in the near future setting of Ors...

All gamers have been watching the headlines on their favorite video game news sites like hawks recently. The reason? The series of delays to some of the most anticipated new titles of the holiday season. The casualties so far have been Bioshock 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bayonetta, Red Dead Redemption, and Dark Void, among notable others. This trend has caused some concern amongst the gaming public, as the typically cramped holiday season has suddenly got a little less packed. But shouldn’t...
Video Game Trailer Talk: Batman Arkham Asylum Gadgets
Let's see what the writers at Headburst think of the Batman: Arkham Asylum Gadgets trailer that recently popped up on the internet. Be a part of Trailer Talk by getting involved and leaving comments on why you like or dislike the trailer.

Video Games: Red Faction: Demons of the Badlands DLC Quick Review

Red Faction: Guerrilla, as I stated in my review of it, is a great game, and very much worth the playing. And it has only become even more worthwhile with the release of the first of three planned download content packs. This first, dubbed Demons of the Badlands, is a great little prequel tale that answers some questions about one of the main game’s central characters Samanya, while simultaneously providing background on one of the creepier segments of Mars’ populace.
The DLC puts players...
